​My name is Alyssa Sklar and it is my mission to reflect the beautiful world around me in my art. I feel particularly inspired by nature and my home in the city of Richmond, Virginia. Creating art is a means of self care for me. I feel drawn to use natural, physical, and traditional materials to bring my ideas to life. As a ceramic artist, I aspire to create thoughtful and refined work as my materials will outlast myself long after I am gone.
